Religion - A Baby-walker to Learn to Walk in Spiritual Space

Read about this in Chapter 5 Section 4 of the book... You may click on the link or read the extracts reproduced below.

4.       Baby Walker to walk in Spiritual Space

The learned saints created religion as a vehicle or tool for the common man to walk in the spiritual space and move towards the godly zones. I call this vehicle “the baby walker”. In  Chapter 4 we saw that the common man in those days was ignorant like a child because of the lack of reach of education. The common man, who was just learning to walk in the spiritual space by putting the first baby steps forward, indeed needed a baby walker. So the learned men created the “baby walker” called Religion.

When a baby learns to walk, it uses the baby walker for its first few steps. As the baby grows up, it gives up the baby walker and learns to walk and sprint on its own. It cannot walk and sprint in physical space unless it gives up the baby walker

The learned men created the “baby walker” called Religion for the common man to learn to walk in the spiritual space

The religious tales and mainly the concept of god were like the walker devised by the learned men of those times to help the infant (common man) to learn to walk in the spiritual space.

When a baby learns to walk, it uses the baby walker for its first few steps. As the baby grows up, it gives up the baby walker and learns to walk and sprint on its own. It obviously cannot walk and sprint in physical space unless it gives up the baby walker (Fig. 5.4). Similarly, in the spiritual space, man has to give up the baby walker of religion to soar to spiritual heights. We will see in Part III, specially in Chapter 7 and section 1 of chapter 8 that, due to an inherent flaw in the tool or baby walker devised by the saints, man did not give up religion. As a result, he never learnt to walk and sprint in spiritual space (This is depicted pictorially later in Fig. 8.2).
